Just some random shots from my game. I'm in the process of building up a community but I got caught up in playing with my latest simmies (they're married now ^_^)

MUHWAHAHAHA! It took a lot of fiddling around and some helpful information over on the EA tech board but I finally fixed the issue with my game disliking edge smoothing.

Now I can enjoy the game in all its graphical beauty instead of being put off by those damn jagged edges. ^_^

As a general rule I don't use .Sims3Packs so my content should not transfer. I have also used a fair few facial sliders including the elf ear sliders from MTS. Provided you don't alter the structure of their faces it should be OK but the moment you do they'll just snap back to within the EA boundaries without the sliders installed.

I think I'll make them lovers in my game...

OK I have a trivia question!

What do The Sims and Harry Potter have in common?

Well; those of sound mind will think that there is nothing in common between these two games other than that vile EA logo lurking somewhere on the packaging but according to EA they have a lot more in common than that.

Enough in common in fact to feature rather prominantly on the TS3 main page o.O

...I wonder if I were to spam the forum with off-topic threads about Harry Potter whether I would be banned. Given that it's on the TS3 site it MUST be related to The Sims and therefore perfectly acceptable to talk about :>

LATE NIGHT - APARTMENT

Right. Bridgeport has been getting on my nerves. Aside from my graphics card having issues with rendering it I'm finding it really difficult to navigate, my sims are obsessed with the subways and it takes them forever to get anywhere. Besides I missed suburbia - the solution? Get a small neighbourhood, do half as the city and half as the suburbs. Problem solved!

Even moreso now I've figured out how to mod apartments.

Now all I need to do is find all the apartments that EA for no logical reason decided to hide. I mean REALLY EA? Are you that obsessed about us using your own pre-made shit that you wouldn't make the apartment shells available for general use? UGH. The lots I have are too small for the pre-made lots; I'm sure some of them is just because EA stuck an apartment on a lot that was bigger than necessary.

LATE NIGHT

Ugh! Either Late Night hates virtually ALL my CC (including all my store content obtained through dodgy means) or my computer has reached its limit break because my game has NEVER taken over an hour to load since I ditched all that corrupted crap way back when.

*headdesk* other than hairs and a few CC clothing I'm pretty much running a naked game and I mean that. I don't even have my store content! It sucks!

Has EA tweaked their coding again? I know a while back I had to fiddle around with some things to get my fake store crap to show up but this is insane! I've gone from a CC list of around 1,100 to about 350 ^_^;

...I haven't even been able to play yet. This had better be worth it.

GENE - NEW SIM IN PROGRESS

This is the current sim I'm working on. His name is Gene but I haven't thought up a backstory for him yet. I'm loving his vivid red hair and I'm really not sure how I got his facial shape like that but I'm liking it. I just wanted to see what other people thought of him.

I should have him finished by this weekend if I go on my game again. I really want to deck him out in some of the gothic Late Night clothing. Maybe I'll turn him into my first vampire...

LATE NIGHT

Well... I held out for a surprising amount of time considering but I've finally relented and ordered Late Night.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the new computer as early as I had hoped and I'm sick of waiting for Late Night what with everybody posting their awesome videos and pictures so... yeah.

Besides; I want to build in Bridgeport and even if I do get a new computer as long as I put my lots on the exchange or just keep them in a safe place I can back them on on the portable harddrive and then put them back in with the new game.

I'll have to remove all my CC though. Ahh well, I don't use a lot of it anyway. It'll be nice to have a spring clean.

WAKING DEAD

So I finally got around to watching Walking Dead on FX. I meant to watch it on Friday but I forgot all about it because I was playing Fable 3.

I'm liking it so far. The Zombies definately look good although so far it has been somewhat predictable (really; your mother became a zombie and is walking around out there. Huh. Didn't see that coming) and other things I'll leave unmentioned for the sake of spoilers.

However; is it just me or is the main character REALLY stupid. I mean seriously; so far the smartest thing he has done would be to take a horse rather than the pickup truck. Cities have higher populations than the countryside so logically there would be far greater numbers and come on! You're in the middle of a Zombie apocalypse, you have already established that you are pretty fucked right now so after being told that loud noises attract them what do you do? Stop for fuckin' gas and SHOUT OUT repeatedly before realizing that the occupants are long dead and sitting on the stoop a good distance away from the guns that are your only source of protection.

Seriously. I hope this is because he's still in shock at the moment because if not this guy must be protected by the unspoken immortality rule of being a main character.

Fortunately from the trailers I've seen he's not the only character in this so hopefully someone will be able to balance out how bloody stupid he is. Shame really that he left that other guy behind really.

Edit: I'm sure no one will do this but please don't spoil me. I live in the UK so only the 1st episode has aired here so far :D
